Academy Złota 9 met with Ms. Ilona Skibińska-Fabrowska, director of the Lublin Branch of the Polish National Bank.
The history of central and commercial banks in Poland and in the world – was the topic of the speech of the guest of Academy Złota 9 - Ms. Ilona Skibińska-Fabrowska, director of the Lublin Branch of the Polish National Bank, during the first this year meeting of Academy.
During the meeting the students of Academy got to know the differences between a central and a commercial bank, where the first bills were produced and how the monetary and banking system in Poland was created. Director Skibińska-Fabrowska told also about the methods of dealing with economic problems during the Great Depression in 30-ies of the 20th century as well as economic threats of nowadays.
After the lecture Ms. Ewa Waszkiewicz form Communication Department of Lublin Branch of NBP made a short training on how to recognize authentic polish bills. After the training there was a competition where the participants could test their knowledge. They could win a book “Money during the war and occupation in Poland 1939-1945” by Zbigniew Nestorowicz or coins emitted on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
Participants of the meeting were youth from VI High School in Lublin and students from: Łuków, Motycz, Świdnik, Lubartów and Biała Podlaska.
The meeting was chaired by Łukasz Piętka form European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation.

European Centre of Youth Co-operation
Contact making seminar coming up soon in Nasutów!

Between 5th and 9th February in European Meeting Centre in Nasutów a contact making seminar is going to be held. It is the third and the last meeting within multimeasure project “Towards active participation”.
Youth workers and youth leaders from Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Portugal, Greece and Italy are going to participate in the project. The main aim of the meeting is to sum up foregoing international cooperation, to evaluate joint projects and to plan action for upcoming months. During the seminar participants will share their opinions and experiences on an international cooperation, discuss strong and weak points and work on communication tools for further cooperation. Brainstorming on common future projects will be the culmination point of the project.

European Centre of Youth Co-operation
Activating workshops "Action - Activate!"
Take part and let spread the idea of being active!

This workshop for youth from the Lublin Region will be run by informal group of young people "Radioactive". These workshops will be held from 8th till 11th February 2012 in the Meeting Ceentre in Nasutów near Lublin.
"Action - Activate!" is a four-day meeting where you might be inspired to act, find out who is the leader and what is his role and also learn teamwork and get to know new people. By taking part actively in workshops you will get new experiences and learn how to organize your own project from A to Z.
Participation in the workshop is free, all participants will receive certificates.

Academy Złota 9 invites to take part in winter MEDIA CAMP 2012 that will take place during the winter holidays 30.01.-05.02.2012 (Monday-Sunday) in Dom Nasutów by Lublin – in the conference Centre of European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation.
In the programme among others: workshop on internet television, work with camera, making short journalistic materials – recording, editing, script, cinematographer, sound engineer, writing reports and description of reporters, making a blog, photos, movies, journalistic workshop, workshop on public speaking.
Moreover there will be a campfire, terrain game, trip-surprise and meetings with Father Ludwik.
The workshops will be held by trainers of European association of internet television broadcasters Yout4Media Team and journalists from civil and public media.
We invite youth form Lublin Region to take part (16-21 years old). At the end participants will get a certificate confirming the participation in workshops and the gained abilities.
As first approved will be persons that haven’t taken part in any media camp until now.

Labour Market Institute
A group of 30 people started to participate in project “Time for Activity” Dział: Labour Market Institute

In December the recruitment to the first edition of the "Time for Activity” ended, a selected group of 30 people started to participate in the first workshop.  
The project gained a big interest among the residents of Podlasie region. A group of 30 persons was selected to participate in the project. In December 2011 participants took part in workshops activation.
Currently, workshops on how to actively seek employment with the elements of entrepreneurship are taking place, after which each participant will meet with a psychologist/counselor on three two-hour sessions, then participants will take part in vocational training and 5-month work placement.
