ECONOMIC FORUM OF YOUNG LEADERS 2008
WE CREATE IDEAS FOR THE FUTURE OF EUROPE
Welcome to the news of the Economic Forum of Young Leaders. The Forum will take place from 9-12 September 2008 in Nowy Sacz. Over 350 journalists, representatives of social and political organisations, as well as economic and non-governmental institutions from 41 countries from EU, Eastern Europe and Caucasus will take part in this year's Economic Forum of Young Leaders.
The participants will not only discuss major problems concerning the present-day Europe but they will also try to find solutions to them. The Forum establishes the role of the young generations within the social and economic changes occuring on the European continent. The Economic Forum of Young Leaders is accompanying the Economic Forum in Krynica.
The content-related value and the organisational success of the Forum's annual editions make it one of the most important international events for the young generation. What also proves this claim are media from around Europe which show a lot of interest in the Forum in their frequent reports of the debates .Another good recomendation are the headings of some media accounts about the „creative eye” on the challenges posed by Europe.

Twenty-five young Europeans will participate in special classes organized as part of the 'Europe for Citizens' programme. The idea of the programme is to initiate a dialogue concerning current topics between the EU citizens. During the 'Let's Talk' seminar leaders of civil organizations from Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, Malta, Spain, Estonia, Portugal and Great Britain will learn about how to employ media to help in political and civil education and will also discuss topics that are crucial for the development of the EU: the treaty reform and the future of Europe's integration. They will also debate on the current relationship between the EU and Russia, in the light of the military conflict in Georgia.

Europe-let's get to know each other through art!
European Centre of Youth Co-operation
As we already know, the 'Creative School' competition has been resolved. Of all works that have been sent to the competition, three most inventive and compliant with the terms of the competition were chosen. Among those was a sketch of a project written by junior high students from Świdnik, who decided to invite youth from Finland, Bulgaria and Portugal for an exchange and get to know their European friends through art.
The works on the application have been finished and we are now preparing for realization of the project, which will be held between the 19th and the 26th of September in Nasutów. The title of our exchange is 'Europe-let's get to know each other through art.' The participants of a quadrilateral exchange are young people aged 14-18. It is important to mention that a vital part of the project was written not only by the Polish participants, but also the other partners of the project.
