EUROPEAN MEETING CENTRE - NOWY STAW FOUNDATION
Regional Centre For International Debates in Lublin in partnership with the Faculty of Political Science of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (UMCS) organized a meeting about career planning of young Poles in international organizations.
The meeting was held on 10.21.2014 r. at the Faculty of Political Science. The meeting was lead by Ms. Iwona Wojtczak, Head of the Office of the Director of the Political Department for the Employment in Institutions and International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The purpose of the meeting was to encourage young people to seek employment opportunities in international organizations.
Ms. Wojtczak stated that the youth has to be active during their studies and broaden their horizons beyond the classroom of the university. Such activities may be carried out, among others in student organizations, or NGOs. University is the time in which future employees should gather knowledge for a better start in future career. Our guest emphasized the role of knowledge of foreign languages. It is a skill that often determines the acceptance or rejection of a candidate for the position.
