7-14.07.2014 Media camp Lublin European Meeting Centre - Nowy Staw Foundation

We are inviting young journalists to participate in the international media camp in Lublin, Poland, which takes place from 7th until 14th of July 2014.

Who can participate?

  • everyone, who is interested in online journalism and modern media
  • everyone, who tries to be young journalist and is working in an editorial board (online portal, student’s magazine, web-TV, local or regional newspaper or TV station)
  • everyone, who is a NGO leader or works in some non-governmental organization
  • everyone who speaks English communicative
  • everyone who is interested in topics like: civil society, economy, youth, politics, European Union and European integration, international politics
  • everyone who has something to say and who wants to debate with peers from another countries
  • everyone who is interested in Poland

To the participation in the media camp we are inviting young people (18-35 years old) from the following countries:

  • Poland – 5 persons
  • Belarus – 5 persons
  • Moldova – 5 persons
  • Germany – 2 persons

What will happen there in Lublin?

  • media workshops in online journalism and cross-media (how to write to the internet, hypertext principle, how does online journalist work)
  • media workshops: photo, radio, video and press
  • rhetoric basis training
  • an Oxford debate broadcasted live to the internet
  • meeting with editorial boards of regional media in Lublin
  • thematic presentations, guest meetings and discussions about international politics, civil society and youth matters
  • visiting Lublin and discovering it’s beauty

Organizer:

European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation
one of the most active NGO in Poland working for more than 20 years for the benefit of civil society and solidarity between nations.


The organizer provides each participant with accommodation and food in Poland (Dom Nasutów, fantastic place located 15 km from Lublin, Nasutów 98A, 21-025 Niemce www.nasutow.pl). Moreover, we provide with the whole programme (workshops and integration programme), teaching materials and the reimbursement of travel costs.

Travel costs reimbursement:

Belarus – up to 90 PLN per person
Moldova – up to 1170 PLN per person (290 Euro)
Germany – up to 990 PLN per person (495 Euro)
