Italia, Spain, Norway, Finland, Poland and Slovakia – the youth from 6 countries took part in exchange in Torino. The Media Workshop was supported by "Youth in Action" Programme, YEPP IRC International Resource Centre, Video Community, Compagnia di San Paolo, Citta' di Torino, Iter and EMN.
Young people had an opportunity to go deep in their identity. They learn something about their rights as EU Citizens and other cultures. During Intercultural Night they prepared presentations about their countries, local snacks, songs and dances. Youth had there also a practical work on media making and digital storytelling. During this exchange they did 5 films: documentary, reportage and 3 animations – photo, plastiline and drawing on frames. It was amazing experience for them. The main topic of films was “dream and hopes”.
In the end of the project young people took part in Final Ceremony Screening of media, where they could see results of their hard work. On this event was invited for example president of video lab and person from public administration. After that there was a concert and youth could dance and sing.
It was fantastic exchange! Youth made new friendship and want to visit each other now. The time spent in Torino was just incredible and everyone hopes to go there once again in the future. It was great opportunity to improve their language and creativity. For example they made informal video about… ’’Banana man’’! Everyone had a good time there.
