EUROPEAN MEETING CENTRE - NOWY STAW FOUNDATION
From 24th to 28th of January 2014 our volunteers’ team took part in exciting trip to Vilnus that was a summary of our project “Youth Stressed Out – Check This Out”. We met with our co-participants from Lithuanian organization Lietuvos Jaunimo Centras.
There have been waiting for us a number of tasks. The crucial part and simultaneously the main goal of the journey was a conduction of evaluation of so far realized polish and lithuanian actions, namely the assessment of hitherto cooperations and emergence of ideas for new projects. Thanks to good company, work on the analysis of the questionnaires and selection of the winners of photo contest was very efficient, so that we could devote more time to desing the publication in which we present our work accomplished during the entire project. The publication is intended to include the techniques and exercises how to cope with stress, a summary of suveys being a diagnosis of stress among our peers.
The trip was not only about work but also about entertainment, so we spent some time exploring Vilnius and its surroundings. We visited the majestic castle of Trakai built by Duke Vytautas. Throughout the whole stay each evening we spent sightseeing the old town where we could have found such monuments as the Gate of Dawn Vilnius Cathedral, Church of Sts. Anna and the Town Hall Square. After a successful meeting, unfortunately we had to leave our Lithuanian friends and came back to Poland. I think that the atmosphere of this city will remain in our hearts forever.
