International seminar on reconciliation between work and family life and the consequences of the lack of balance between these spheres will be held from 22-24 May at the Catholic University of Lublin. We encourage representatives of trade unions and work organizations to participate.
The realities of today's world and the labor market, make more and more people, especially young, unable to reconcile their professional and personal life. This reflects negatively on their family life and health. In a wider perspective this contributes to the demographic problems and the spread of civilization diseases in our societies. The demographic situation becomes more and more dramatic. We need to seek out the most effective solutions to difficult problems, in order to guarantee to our societies the generation replacement and the increase of the length and quality of life, and all that combined with the economic development and improvement in the labor market.
European Meeting Centre - Nowy Staw Foundation wants to face these problems through a common search for constructive solutions. We are convinced that trade unions have here an important role to play and one possible way of addressing the problem would be to strengthen social dialogue. Therefore, we are pleased to invite you to the international seminar for representatives of trade unions and workers' organizations that will deal with these topics.
The seminar is organized in cooperation with EZA
(European Centre for Workers Questions)
and is co-financed by the European Union.
