EUROPEAN MEETING CENTRE - NOWY STAW FOUNDATION
Soon in European Meeting Centre in Nasutów a youth exchange ‘GIVE A PAW!’ will be held. From 16th-23rd July the youths interested in the subject of humane treating of animals will cooperate to create a social campaign promoting an adoption of homeless animals.
The project is addressed to youths from Lithuania, Czech Republic, Iceland, Italy and Poland who are interested in the subject of humane treating of animals and would like to gain and share knowledge about this topic. The youths will receive the chance to discover their talents and passions through participating in different workshops.
During the exchange youths will have the chance to learn a creative usage of “useless” things. The task will be to change old planks and other materials they receive into toys and accessories for animals from the shelter.
A volunteer from the animal shelter will tell the participants of the project about the methods of organizing help for the homeless animals. Workshops with a marketing specialist will be organized to learn which tools and methods can be used to advertise social campaigns.
During the exchange the youths will take part in an Oxford Debate. They will receive the opportunity to talk about the problems of homeless animals in their homelands and propose proper solutions.
The climax of the exchange will be a happening during which we will distribute earlier prepared leaflets and stickers connected with the topic of animal adoption. What is more during the happening we will walk from Litewski Square to the City Hall with all the volunteers working for the animal shelter in Lublin.
Happening will take place on 22. July, and start at 10 am at Litewski Square.
