How to safely use the banknotes? How to become an expert to recognize a counterfeit banknote? What are the hidden secrets of Polish and European banknotes?

If you seek answers to these questions we invite you to participate in the "Summer with the central bank", organized for the eighth time by the Polish National Bank Regional Branch in Lublin, and the second time in cooperation with the Regional Centre for European Information in Lublin.

Betwin 2-20 July 2012,will create in Lublin two "islands of knowledge" - "Safe Zloty" and "Safe Euro".

First Island - "Safe Zloty" will take place at the seat of the Polish National Bank Regional Branch in Lublin, Chopin str. Polish rulers 6 who live on Polish banknotes? How are notes from one another, and what are the common elements? How to distinguish fake banknote from the true in complete darkness? What can be seen on the banknote against the light while watching it?

Everyone who will take part in a summer game will be an expert in recognizing the authenticity of banknotes and receive a certificate of knowledge in this field. The organizers have prepared educational games – puzzles, magnetic notes and an interactive game on the touch screen.

In addition, children will see the photo exhibition "Portraits and Coins", a showcase for famous Polish athletes, Olympic medalists and their selected collector coins. Among the portraits you will find the faces of Olympic medalists who live in Lublin - Tomasz Wojtowicz (volleyball), Leszek Duneckiego (sprint) and Zygmunt Kalinowski (football).

Second island "Secure Euro" will take place at the premises of the Municipality of Lublin,
What kind of banknotes are used by over 300 million people in Europe? How were projects of the euro banknotes? Do they differ, what are the denominations and what safeguards against counterfeiting? Why is there a common currency?

Such knowledge is especially useful for those who plan holiday trip to the euro zone countries. We also plan knowledge quiz about Europe, "Discovering the European Union", a puzzle - Elemental puzzle of the euro banknotes and coins obverse recognition.

Competition for the poem "Safe notes"

Everyone between the age of 5 to 18 years who will take part in the action and collect stamps, is invited to take part in the competition for the most interesting line of "Safe Money". All children will receive educational materials and memorabilia - books and publications on the European Union and the euro.
