YEAR 2011 NEWS

Apart from organizing the educational path "Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union", we organized an art competition for children. The organizers of the competition were Polish National Bank Regional Branch in Lublin, Lublin Voivodeship Office and the Regional Centre of European Information in Lublin.

Entrants were asked to present their idea of ​ Poland in European Union. They could prepare A2 paper in every technique. In order to participate in the contest participants had to have a special ticket confirming participation in the summer meeting of the euro NBP Regional Branch in Lublin and in the summer meeting in the Lublin Voivodeship office. Such meetings were organized from 29 June to 22 July.
Entrants could win prizes such as cameras, MP4 players, funded by the Regional Centre for European Information in Lublin and the, Lublin Voivodship Office in Lublin, as well as coin collectors' Polish presidency of the EU Council ", issued by the Polish National Bank. In addition, all participants and their caregivers received diplomas and artistic book awards.

At 13 September in Lublin Regional Office we held a grand opening of the exhibition of awarded works, combined with the awarding ceremony. The winner in the category of up to 10 years was Zofia Flis (8 years), while in the category over 10 years Patrycja Umińska (age 11). The jury awarded also prizes for second place and honorable mentions.

Prizes were handed to children by: Genowefa Tokarska Lubelskie Voivodeship, director of the Polish National Bank Regional Branch in Lublin Ilona Skibińska-Fabrowska, Anna Dudek-Janiszewska Vice Director of Education Office in Lublin and Andrzej Skorski Director of  Regional Centre of European Information in Lublin.

Exhibition of prize-winning and commended works will be presented from 13 to 30 September in Provincial Office in Lublin (Cicha Street 4), and in October this year in headquarters of the Polish National Bank Regional Branch in Lublin (Chopina Street 6).
