YEAR 2011 NEWS

4 June at 11.00 there was a traditional meeting of Academy Złota 9.  A special guest was Tomasz Rożniak - the President of European Meeting Centre - Nowy Staw Foundation.

Besides participants there were members of KASZA present (Club of Alumni and Sympathizer of the Academy Złota 9). A special guest was the President of European Meeting Centre - Nowy Staw Foundation. Tomasz Rożniak is a co-founder of Academy Złota 9, which for more than five years of its program is helping young people to prepare for a creative and active participation in public life and society.

During the meeting the current political and social issues were discussed. Together we reflected on the possibilities of development of the Academy as well as the bigger activeness of young people in society. Building a community of values, avoiding conflicts, social dialogue, civil society - are just some of the issues raised. Our guest also shared with us his experiences associated with the person of John Paul II, in particular his impact on societies and nations.

Also we summarized the work of the Academy last year, we tried to draw conclusions, to be able to start from September with a new program.

In conclusion, the President presented the ideas and activities of the Foundation, which specifically wants to support youth. He invited us to cooperate.
