More and more children and young people participate in various festivals and song contests. This year's concert of VIII European Song Festival has grown into a local event.
A ceremonial final concert of the European Song Festival was held on 28 April this year, in the Lublin Philharmonic. The Festival was organized for students of primary schools in Lublin province. About three hundred people gathered on the audience. The final concert gathered more than 20 artists, including Magdalena Welc and Krzysztof Cugowski junior.
The main organizer of the concert was the Primary School No. 51 . John Paul II in Lublin.
The competition was held under auspices of the Lublin School Superintendent Krzysztof Babisz, together with a representative of the Regional Centre of European Information in Lublin.
The Junior High School in Łucka, near Lubartow turned into a local capital of Europe.
This happened thanks to the European Song Festival.
Participants competed against each other in terms of songs in English, German and Polish.
The founder of the awards, were the Regional Centre of European Information in Lublin, which included the patronage of the festival, as well as Mayor of Lubartów. In addition, during the Festival, there was an "active" German lesson combined with a number of competitions run by the project teacher Deutschvagen Tour.
