EUROPEAN MEETING CENTRE - NOWY STAW FOUNDATION
The first presentations of education campaign “The Multicultural Face of Lublin” were already held. Constantly, new educational institutions are contacting us. The volunteers of foreign origin from the Foundation present their country and culture in schools in Lublin as the participants of the current project „The Multicultural Face of Lublin”. The action started on June 15th 2009 at 8 a.m.
Education campaign for schools in Lublin has begun this week. Wisdom, Salvatore, Priscilla and many other volunteers will present their countries during 45 minutes extraordinary lessons.
Wisdom from Nigeria explains the pupils how important is a warm handshake with a big smile in his country. Salvatore prepared for an Italian learning class a short lesson in his language. ”Learning languages as a way of passing knowledge” – this idea has been hit by Priscilla from China.
Foreigners from Estonia, Cuba, Germany, Scotland and Ukraine are also involved in the project.
The European Meeting Centre - Nowy Staw Foundation plays an important role socializing representatives of different countries and cultures. Through “The multicultural face of Lublin” project, the foundation promotes and emphasizes abundance of multicultural diversity of Lublin.
The aim of the campaign is also to stimulate and activate inhabitants of Lublin from different cultural backgrounds as well as integrating immigrants with Lublin’s community.
